Thursday night was the scene for a matchup between the Gaiters and the Stingers, in Montreal, as part of a home-and-home between the two sides. Bishop's was without standout second-year forward Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina) and center Kalina Alexander-Renaud (Gatineau, Que./Nouvelle-Frontieres) for this one. The game started extremely slow, as both teams missed seemingly easy lay-ins en route to an 8-6 Concordia lead after the first quarter. Both teams settled in during the second frame and a last-possession 3-pointer gave the Stingers a 29-28 lead at the break. The Stingers got hot in the 3rd, but a Gaiters rally kept them at bay as Concordia held a 50-44 lead after three. The Gaiters found their stride in the fourth quarter and, on the backs of their veterans, found a way to win by a score of 75-71.
