The Gaiters women's hockey team was back at home on Friday night, playing host to the Concordia Stingers. The Gaiters, coming off two losses, were looking to bounce back against a Stingers team that they beat last November. The first period solved nothing, despite good chances for both teams. A flurry of bad bounces and a shorthanded goal gave Concordia a 3-0 lead heading into the final twenty minutes. The third frame was quiet until the Gaiters finally found the back of the net, before the Stingers potted an empty-netter to seal the deal at 4-1.

… Mackenzie Borgfjord (Lorette, Man./Shaftsbury H.S.) scored the lone goal for the Gaiters 
… Concordia's Emilie Lavoie scored 2 goals  
… Concordia's goalie Alice Philbert stopped 23 of the 24 shots she faced 

Next Up 
The Gaiters will head to Montreal on Sunday, Jan. 22nd to take on the McGill Martlets. Puck drop is set for 2pm.
