The Gaiters hosted the Montreal Carabins on Friday night, looking to continue the momentum after their big win last Sunday. It was a tall task, as 4 of the Gaiters top-six forwards were out of this one due to injuries. The first period looked bleak, before Bishop's cut the lead to 2-1. The second period started with a continuation of a 5-minute power play after Montreal's Emilie-Rene Paquin was ejected for a contact to the head penalty. The Gaiters capitalized, and made it 2-2 just a couple of minutes in. Montreal answered with a late third-period goal, and that would end up being the deciding goal. A 5-on-3 for the Gaiters hoped to be the source of a late third period comeback, but a quick empty net goal for the Carabins sealed the deal. The game finished 6-2 in favour of the visitors.
