The Gaiters were well-rested on Saturday night for their matchup against the Laval Rouge et Or. The last matchup between the two teams finished 68-65 in favour of Laval. Both teams went shot for shot in this game, with the Gaiters up 25-20 after 1. Laval managed a 1-point lead at the half after an intense second quarter. The game continued to go back and forth in the third, with Laval holding on to a 62-59 lead. This game came right down to the wire, and the Gaiters had a few opportunities to tie it in the dying seconds during a wild sequence. Ultimately, the Rouge et Or pulled out an 87-85 win. The Gaiters move to 4-6 on the season.    

How it Happened... 
… Etienne Gagnon (/Cegep de Sherbrooke) continues to make a name for himself in the RSEQ, finishing with a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double 
… Rowan Halpenny (Ottawa, Ont./Canada Topflight Academy) chipped in with 14 points and 5 rebounds 
… Hisham Saleh (Aylmer, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) came off the bench in this one and had an efficient 14 points 
… Steeve Joseph led the way for the Rouge et Or, finishing the game with 26 points  

Next Up 
The Gaiters are on the road to Montreal for their next contest, where they will face the McGill Redbirds. Tip-off for that one is set for 8pm.
