Saturday night's game was sure to be a different story from Thursday night, where the Gaiters beat the UQAM Citadins by 17 points. Mitchell Gym was alive for the rematch, and both teams delivered a show. The Gaiters had an early edge, playing tough on both ends gave them a 49-33 lead at the half. UQAM came storming back in the third stanza and cut the lead to 9 points. In the final quarter, both teams were put to the test in an extremely physical game. UQAM found the equalizing bucket with 11 seconds to go, and that sent the game to an extra period. The Citadins held a three-point lead for the first half of the period before the Gaiters dug deep and found their stride. A perfect last minute for the Gaiters resulted in an 89-85 win in front of an energized crowd.
