On what was a historic night, the Gaiters played a tough game against a physical opponent in the UQAM Citadins. On the Gaiters second possession of the night, Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) reached 1000 career regular season points when she drained a 3-point shot with supreme confidence. Both teams struggled offensively for the rest of the first half, and the Citadins took a narrow 33-31 lead into the break. The Gaiters found their rhythm in the 3rd quarter, where they scored 25 points and took a comfortable 56-47 lead. UQAM put up a fight in the fourth but to no avail, and the Gaiters left Montreal with a 80-66 win.

… On top of her career milestone, Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) had 28 points and 7 rebounds 
… Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) was important as usual, with 9 points and 8 rebounds 
… Jennifer Louis (Montreal, Que./Cegep Edouard-Montpetit) had a quietly productive night, chipping in 10 points and 5 boards 
… Katerina Stoupas (Montreal, Que./Dawson College) had a nice night yet again, adding 10 points and grabbing 7 rebounds 
 

Next Up 
The Gaiters will host this same UQAM team on Saturday night in Mitchell Gym, with a chance to clinch first place. Tip-off is set for 6pm.
