OTTAWA – The Bishop's Gaiters scored early and often on route to a 50-9 victory over the Carleton Ravens on Sunday in RSEQ men's rugby action.
The Gaiters scored seven tries from seven different players.
Caelan Abbott (Toronto, ON/Trinity College School),
Mederic Audet-Chalifour (Quebec City, QC/CEGEP Garneau),
Sam Clapinson (Saint Laurent, QC/Penncrest H.S.),
Kyle Corrigan (Ottawa, ON/St. Paul H.S.),
Ewan Lawton (Halifax, ENG/Queen Ethelburga's College),
Josh Norby (Hudson, QC/John Abbott College) and
Ben Rea (Ottawa, ON/St. Peter H.S.) each found the try zone. Rea kicked three converts and booted through three penalties to round out the scoring for Bishop's.
The Gaiters secured a bonus point in the victory.
The win moves them to 2-0 with 9 total points in the RSEQ season.
They are back on the pitch on Sunday, Oct. 1 when ETS (3-0, 14 points) is in town. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. on Coulter Field.
