LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Neleh Vigneau Sargeant (Lake Loon, NS/Lockview H.S.) scored the game-winning goal on the power play at 15:13 of the third period to give the Bishop's Gaiters a massive victory over the Montreal Carabins and two crucial points in the RSEQ standings on Friday night in the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.
 
The goal was the second of the stanza for Bishop's who were down 1-0 after 40 minutes.
 
 
Ericka Gagnon (Quebec City, QC/) made 22 saves in the win. 
 
Rookie sensation Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain-Lennoxville) tied the game 8:25 into the third after the Gaiters killed off a 1:40 five-on-three power play.  Santerre won the race for a loose puck and broke in alone. She beat the Carabins' goalie low blocker for her 13^th of the season.  She also picked up an assist on the game-winner for her 32^nd and 33^rd points of the season, extending her league lead.
 
 
The win puts Bishop's second place in the RSEQ standings with 24 points, tied with the Carabins, but the Gaiters have one more win than Montreal as the two battle for home ice advantage in the playoffs
 
 
The Gaiters were penalized eight times on Friday night including six in a row in the second and third periods.  Montreal couldn't capitalize while Bishop's went 1-for-5 on the power play.
 
Bishop's has a quick turn around as they host the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Sunday afternoon in the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.  Puck drop is set for 3:30 p.m.

Le but était le deuxième de la période pour Bishop's, qui était mené 1-0 après 40 minutes.

Elle a également obtenu une passe sur le but gagnant, portant son total à 33 points en 19 matches.
 
La victoire place les Gaiters en deuxième position au classement de la RSEQ avec 24 points, à égalité avec les Carabins, mais les Gaiters ont une victoire de plus que Montréal dans la lutte pour l'avantage de la glace en séries éliminatoires.
 
Les Gaiters ont été pénalisés huit fois vendredi soir, dont six consécutives en deuxième et troisième périodes. Montréal n'a pas pu en profiter alors que Bishop's a réussi un but en cinq avantages numériques.
 
Bishop's enchaîne rapidement en recevant les Gee-Gees d'Ottawa dimanche après-midi à la Jane and Eric Molson Arena. La matche est prévu à 15h30.
