LENNOXVILLE, Que. –
Kalina Alexander-Renaud (Montreal, QC/) scored 10 points as she was celebrated as the lone Bishop's Gaiters graduating senior on Wednesday night in Lennoxville. The Gaiters beat the UQAM Citadins 79-62 to send her off in style.
Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina/) led the way for Bishop's, she scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Eve Atchampone (Trois-Rivieres, QC/CEGEP St-Jean) scored 13 points and
Jessica Vidovic (Surrey, B.C./Champlain-Lennoxville) had 12 off the bench to round out the Gaiters in double figures.
Bishop's was a perfect 12-12 from the charity stripe and forced 31 UQAM turnovers. They also had 24 assists on 29 made field goals.
Bishop's used a massive second stanza where they outscored their opponents 21-7 to gain control and never look back. UQAM made a late run, but the game was never in jeopardy as Bishop's went onto a 79-62 victory.
The win improves them to 9-7 while UQAM falls to 3-12. The Gaiters regular season is now complete. They await the Concordia Stingers in an RSEQ semifinal on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Gym. Tickets are available at
