The Bishop's Gaiters are proud to announce four standout student-athletes as Maxi Gaiters of the Week for their exceptional performances on the playing surface over the past two weeks.
 
For the week ending August 24, football stars Justin Quirion (Saint-Georges, QC/Cegep de Levis) and Philippe Théroux (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu,QC, Cegep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu) earned the honours following their dominant contributions in Bishop's 43–7 season-opening win over Mount Allison. Quirion, the veteran quarterback, threw a school-record five touchdown passes and amassed 371 passing yards, setting the tone for the Gaiters' offense. Theroux, a defensive anchor, recorded five tackles, three tackles for loss, and returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown, helping secure the victory.
 
For the week ending August 31, Landen Harison (Vernon, BC/Columbia Bible College) and Avery Mack (Ottawa, ON/Immaculata H.S.) of the Bishop's Golf Team were recognized for their strong showings at the ETS Invitational held at Club de Golf Le Portage. Harison posted rounds of 74, 73, and 73 to finish third overall in the men's individual standings, helping the Gaiters men's team secure a third-place finish. On the women's side, Mack carded scores of 80, 84, and 81, placing fourth individually and contributing to a second-place team finish.
 
The Gaiters are also thrilled to welcome Maxi back as the official title sponsor of the Gaiter of the Week program. This longstanding partnership celebrates standout performances on the playing surface, recognizing student-athletes who exemplify excellence, grit, and impact in competition. Maxi's continued support is a valued part of the Gaiters community.
 
Bishop's football returns to action on Saturday, September 6, when they travel to Halifax to face the Saint Mary's Huskies. Tee-off for the next RSEQ golf event is scheduled for September 7–9 at Club de golf La Bête in Mont-Tremblant.

Les Gaiters de Bishop's sont fiers d'annoncer quatre étudiants-athlètes exceptionnels comme Gaiters Maxi de la semaine pour leurs performances remarquables sur le terrain au cours des deux dernières semaines.
 
Pour la semaine se terminant le 24 août, les vedettes du football Justin Quirion (Saint-Georges, QC/Cegep de Levis) et Phil Theroux ont été honorées suite à leurs contributions dominantes lors de la victoire de 43–7 de Bishop's contre Mount Allison pour ouvrir la saison. Quirion, le quart-arrière vétéran, a lancé un record scolaire de cinq passes de touché et accumulé 371 verges par la passe, établissant le rythme de l'attaque des Gaiters. Theroux, pilier défensif, a enregistré cinq plaqués, trois plaqués pour perte et a retourné une interception sur 32 verges pour un touché, scellant la victoire.
 
Pour la semaine se terminant le 31 août, Landen Harison (Vernon, BC/Columbia Bible College) et Avery Mack (Ottawa, ON/Immaculata H.S.) de l'équipe de golf de Bishop's ont été reconnus pour leurs excellentes performances lors de l'Invitation ETS tenue au Club de Golf Le Portage. Harison a joué des rondes de 74, 73 et 73 pour terminer troisième au classement individuel masculin, aidant l'équipe masculine des Gaiters à décrocher une troisième place au classement par équipe. Du côté féminin, Mack a inscrit des scores de 80, 84 et 81, terminant quatrième individuellement et contribuant à une deuxième place pour l'équipe féminine.
 
Les Gaiters sont également ravis d'accueillir à nouveau Maxi comme commanditaire officiel du programme Gaiter de la semaine. Ce partenariat de longue date célèbre les performances exceptionnelles sur le terrain, en reconnaissant les étudiants-athlètes qui incarnent l'excellence, la ténacité et l'impact en compétition. Le soutien continu de Maxi est une composante précieuse de la communauté des Gaiters.
 
L'équipe de football de Bishop's reprendra l'action le samedi 6 septembre, alors qu'elle se rendra à Halifax pour affronter les Huskies de Saint Mary's. Le prochain tournoi de golf du RSEQ est prévu du 7 au 9 septembre au Club de golf La Bête à Mont-Tremblant.
