LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Bishop's University Athletics and Recreation celebrated excellence across sport, academics and leadership on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as standout student-athletes were honoured at the 2025-26 Bishop's Gaiters Athletic Awards. Headlining the evening were Charles Robert (Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC/Suffield Academy), named Male Athlete of the Year and Male Academic Student-Athlete of the Year for the fourth consecutive season, and Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville), recipient of Female Athlete of the Year honours following a standout campaign highlighted by national recognition. Cammy-M Bernier (Nicolet, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville) was recognized as Female Academic Student-Athlete of the Year, while Taylor Mason (West Vancouver, BC/West Vancouver S,S,) and Dylan Monico (Sault Ste. Marie, ON/St. Mary's College) earned the Female and Male Student-Athlete Leadership Awards. The ceremony also honoured Dawn Patterson, recipient of the prestigious Ray Almond Award, recognizing her long-standing and invaluable contributions to Gaiter Athletics.

Bishop's met en valeur l'excellence lors de son gala annuel des récompenses sportives jeudi

LENNOXVILLE, Qc – Le département des sports et loisirs de l'Université Bishop's a célébré l'excellence sportive, académique et en leadership le jeudi 2 avril 2026, alors que les étudiantes-athlètes et étudiants-athlètes s'étant démarqués ont été honorés lors du Gala sportif des Gaiters de Bishop's 2025-2026. En tête d'affiche de la soirée figuraient Charles Robert (Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC/Suffield Academy), nommé Athlète masculin de l'année et Étudiant-athlète masculin académique de l'année pour une quatrième saison consécutive, ainsi que Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville), récipiendaire du titre d'Athlète féminine de l'année à la suite d'une saison exceptionnelle marquée par des distinctions nationales. Cammy-M Bernier (Nicolet, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville) a été honorée à titre d'Étudiante-athlète féminine académique de l'année, tandis que Taylor Mason (West Vancouver, BC/West Vancouver S,S,) et Dylan Monico (Sault Ste. Marie, ON/St. Mary's College) ont respectivement reçu les prix de Leadership étudiant-athlète féminin et masculin. La cérémonie a également rendu hommage à Dawn Patterson, récipiendaire du prestigieux prix Ray Almond, soulignant sa contribution exceptionnelle et de longue date aux sports des Gaiters.
