Schedule

Athlete Concussion Education

The Bishop’s University Sports Medicine team is committed to the health and safety of all our athletes. As part of this commitment, we feel it is necessary for our athletes and coaches to receive up to date information about concussions. As part of our mandatory pre-season concussion education, we use the Concussion-Wise for Athletes educational video (Sports Safety International). All athletes and coaches must watch the video and complete the quiz prior to the start of their preseason training camps. We also encourage parents’ of athletes to watch the video as well.

Important things to remember when watching the video and taking the test:
  1. Completing Online Education: Once you click on the link you will be redirected to the Sports Safety sight. Choose the ConcussionWise educational video. Learners must watch the 20- minute video in its entirety. It is not possible to skip forward through the video. Note that learners should not refresh or reload their browser, or navigate away from this page during the presentation. Doing so will restart the video from the beginning. Once the video has ended, a link to the post-test will appear in the video.
  2. Important Note about Post-Tests: Prior to beginning the post test, you must select BISHOP’S UNIVERSITY from the drop-down list.  It is very important that you select the correct school from the list so that your record is linked to our BU Education Manager account.  If the incorrect school/team is selected, your record will not appear in our account and you will have to redo the whole thing.

In addition to watching the Concussion-Wise videos prior to the start of their camps, all athletes must read and sign the
Student-Athlete Concussion Education Information Sheet and Code of Conduct
