QUEBEC CITY – The Bishop's University football team (1-6) fell 44–0 to the No. 1 Laval Rouge et Or, on a blustery and frigid Sunday afternoon in Quebec City. 
 
How it Happened
In the cold and rain on Sunday afternoon in Quebec City, Laval got their first points of the game off a 22-yard field goal attempt by Dominique Levesque which resulted in a rouge. The Rouge et Or added to their total in the first quarter, with a 25-yard touchdown from Hugo Richard to Antony Dufour. 
 
At the eight-minute mark of the second frame Laval took over on Bishop's 13-yard line after a Gaiters fumble.  Three plays later Richard ran four yards for a Laval touchdown, to put them up 15-0.  A safety touch gave Laval the 17-0 halftime lead. 
 
The third quarter saw Laval extend their lead.  Sebastien Serre ran in for a 16-yard touchdown and after seven plays and 84-yards, Richard finally found Antony Auclair in the end-zone with a 27-yard pass for the second score of the quarter.   
 
Laval controlled the board once again through the fourth frame.  Levesque capped the game off with a 28-yard field goal to make it 44-0 for Laval.
 
By the Numbers
Bishop's had 49-yards total of offense, to Laval's 590-yards. The Gaiters were 9-22 in passing attempts and had 11 rushing attempts.  The Rouge et Or were 21-25 from the air and had 43 rushing attempts.  Laval had the majority of ball possession, with 39 minutes compared to Bishop's 21 minutes.  Neither team had an interception. 
 
Jaeden Marwick was 8-12 for 81-yards.  Michael Nelson had three catches for a total of 30-yards. Vincent Davignon rushed eight times for a total of 13-yards.  Guillaume Trottier lead the Gaiters with eight tackles on the afternoon.

Bishop's will take on Concordia (3-4) in their final game of the season, on Saturday Oct. 29^th at 1 p.m. on Coulter Field.
