Box Score QUEBEC CITY – The Bishop's University Gaiters men's basketball team lost 74-64 to Laval on Friday night in Quebec City.
Laval came out of the locker room shooting but once Bishop's found the net the quarter was fairly evenly matched, 20-17 Laval after one quarter.
Bishop's tied it up with four minutes to go in the second frame on a three by
Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College ), it was again tied at halftime, 34-34.
The Gaiters had a tough quarter defensively, Laval led by 13 at the end of the third quarter.
Bishop's cut the Rouge et Or's lead to five with 1:41 to play, but it was too late for the Gaiters to make a push. Laval won 74-64.
Kamane led the Gaiters with 16 points and was 5-6 from the charity stripe.
David Belanger (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-St. Lambert) had 12 points and eight rebounds.
Alexandre Leclerc led Laval with 20 points. Frantson Demosthene had a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Bishop's will host McGill (1-1) to close out the 2016 portion of the season on Nov. 26 at 4 p.m.
