SHERBROOKE, Que. – The women's rugby team will wrap-up their season against the Concordia Stingers on Thursday night in Montreal.
Last Time Out:
Bishop's (0-6) fell 40-8 to the McGill Martlets (1-5) on Friday night in Montreal.
Erika Scott (Dewittville, Que./John Abbott College) scored a try for the Gaiters and
Emily Norris (Stanstead, Que./Stanstead College) made a penalty kick. No. 10 Concordia is coming off a 36-34 loss to Montreal (3-3).
Coaches Corner:
"This game against Concordia is an opportunity for everyone to play hard for 80 minutes and end the season with pride," said head coach
Adam Spirk. "It is one last chance for everyone to prove that we have improved and are heading in the right direction. We expect a spirited contest from the ladies."
Athlete of the Week:
Scott scored the lone try for the Gaiters in their loss to McGill on Friday. She was a leader on the field. For her efforts, she was named the Gaiter's MVP of the game and the Provigo, Robert Lafond Bishop's University Athlete of the Week.
Bishop's Stats Leaders:
Norris leads all Gaiters with 13 points, two converts and three penalty kicks. Scott has 10 points from two tries.
