SHERBROOKE, Que. - Taylor Straw (Ottawa, Ont./St. Pius X H.S.) of the women's soccer team and Simon Winquist (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) of the lacrosse team are the Provigo, Robert Lafond Bishop's University Athletes of the Week for the week ending in Oct. 15.

Straw played a really strong game against UQTR on Sunday afternoon after returning from a concussion.  The Gaiters lost 3-0 to the Patriotes.  She made some great plays on the defensive end and created a lot of scoring opportunities for the forwards.

Winquist led the lacrosse team's offence in their pair of games in Ottawa over the weekend. He scored five goals in their 21-3 victory over Carleton on Saturday, and put up a hat-trick in their 15-11 victory over Ottawa on Sunday. 

Up Next:
Straw and the women's soccer team will be back on the pitch on Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. when they travel to Montreal to take on UQAM.
Winquist and the lacrosse team return to action on Oct. 18 when they travel to Montreal to take on McGill at 8:30 p.m.
