SHERBROOKE, Que. – Hat-tricks, by
Taren Cook (Rothesay N.B./Holderness School) and
Samuel Firth (Ottawa, Ont./) were not enough to give the Gaiters lacrosse team the win on Sunday afternoon. They fell 15-11 to the Trent Excalibur in CUFLA East action.
How it happened:
Trent took a quick and early lead. They led 4-1 at the end of first quarter. Bishop's found their footing in the second quarter as four different Gaiters found the back of Trent's net. Despite the push, the Gaiters still trailed 5-6 at halftime. Bishop's and Trent traded goals in the third frame. They were tied with twenty minutes to play. The Gaiters could not keep up with the Excalibur in the final quarter, they were outscored 5-1, as Trent took the game, 15-11.
