SHERBROOKE, Que – The Bishop's University Gaiters men's basketball team will host the McGill Redmen on Saturday night in Mitchell Gym. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
Bishop's Breakdown:
The Gaiters (1-2) are coming off an 89-74 loss to the Laval Rouge et Or (2-1) last weekend in Quebec City.
Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) led the Gaiters with 26 points on 10-17 shooting and put up eight rebounds.
Joany Castor Thadal (Saint-Leonard, Que./Champlain-St. Lambert) and
David Belanger (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-St. Lambert) added 11 points each. Kamane was named Bishop's University Provigo, Robert Lafond Athlete of the Week for his performance.
McGill Match-up:
No.6 McGill is coming off a 70-58 loss to Concordia (2-1) this past weekend. Reigning RSEQ player of the year, Dele Ogundokun led the Redmen with 17 points and nine rebounds in the contest. The Redmen won their first two games of the year, 92-56 over Laval and 86-64 over UQAM. McGill has won four of the last five RSEQ championships.
