SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Gaiters lacrosse squad started off their season with a bang. They sent the Queen's Gaels back to Kingston with a 16-5 win on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened:
Queen's opened the scoring mid-way through the first quarter but Bishop's was quick to respond to tie it up. The Gaiters took the lead in the second quarter with a goal by
Taren Cook (Rothesay N.B./Holderness School), and never let the Gaels back into the game. They eventually won 16-5.
Xavier Perron (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) and rookie Samuel Firth each had four goals for the Gaiters.
