NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Gaiters lacrosse team took the first of two contests 23-7 in North Bay, Ont. against the Nipissing Lakers.
How it Happened:
The Gaiters took an early lead, 8-1 after one quarter and held it throughout the game. They were up 12-2 at the half and 20-4 after the third frame. Bishop's won 23-7 over Nipissing. Taylor and Devon Kauffeldt scored their first goals as Gaiters in the first frame.
Coach Rob Engelken:
"We showed up quickly, showing that we got over our bus legs with a strong start. We got sloppy towards the end and had far too many penalties. We played through our entire bench early and often but still need to execute our systems better and more consistently. We look forward to being better tomorrow morning."
