NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Gaiters lacrosse team took the second of two contests against the Nipissing Lakers, 21-5, in North Bay, Ont.
How it Happened:
Bishop's opened the scoring and had a 3-1 lead after the first quarter. Nipissing did not let the Gaiters pull away, the score was 6-2 at halftime. Bishop's found the back of the net nine times in the third frame. The Gaiters took the second contest in North Bay 21-5 over the Lakers.
Coach Rob Engelken:
"Our boys showed great composure today handling Nipissing's slow pace. Nip repeatedly just stalled the ball without any stalls ever being called and we didn't get flustered. We ran our systems better and had fewer penalties which was great. We're excited to leave North Bay with two solid wins!"
