The Bishop's University lacrosse team will face-off against the Queen's Gaels at 12 p.m. on Sunday to open a triple header on Coulter Field. 

Roster Ready to Rumble:
Bishop's has fifteen new faces on their roster for 2017.  Returning to the roster is the Bishop's University Male Freshman Athlete of the Year, Andrew Neilson (Rothesay, N.B./Rothesay Netherwood School).  Neilson led the Gaiters with 23 goals in the 2016 regular season.  Cam Bateman (Port Moody, B.C./Heritage Woods S.S.), a CUFLA honorable mention at the attack position is also back.  Back in purple and silver is Eric Mawdsley (Innisfil, Ont./Trinity Pawling School) (20 goals in the 2016 regular season).  Veterans Taren Cook (Rothesay N.B./Holderness School) and Joel Wright (Newmarket, Ont./Sir William Mulock S.S.), return to the field after each scoring 16 goals in the regular season last year.  Simon Winquist (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) is back for his final season, he had 9 goals last season. 

2016 Match-ups:
Bishop's and Queen's split their two match-ups last season.  Bishop's took the first contest 13-11 in thrilling fashion in Kingston, while when the Gaels visited Lennoxville they played spoiler on Coulter Field beating the Gaiters 10-8.
Queen's was once again in town with a trip to the Baggataway Cup on the line but the Gaiters punched their ticket winning 12-10.

Baggataway at Brock:
In St. Catherine's at the Baggataway Cup the Gaiters fell 18-9 to Guelph in the opening round of the tournament to close out their season.

Pollock's Points:
"We had a great training camp, 20 sessions in 13 days really brought the boys together as a team and allowed us to do a lot of positive teaching. It is a young team, but there is a ton of talent and potential. We are really excited to see who steps up in our season opener against Queens.
