Mara Marchizotti (Buenos Aires, Argentina/) was named the Reseau du Sport Etudiant du Quebec (RSEQ) Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Bishop's Gaiters two basketball games last week. 

Marchizotti paced the Bishop's Gaiters women's basketball team to back-to-back wins over the No. 10 Concordia Stingers last week. The Fine Arts major scored a career-high 36 points on Thursday in Montreal as the Gaiters outlasted the Stingers 81-67. That was the highest single-game point total by a player in the RSEQ in the last 10 years. The former RSEQ all-rookie team member was 17-24 from the floor and added a pair of free throws and a rebound in 34 minutes on the court. On Saturday in Mitchell Gym, she facilitated play for her teammates in the Gaiters convincing 81-68 victory. She scored six points, grabbed nine rebounds, two blocks an assist and a steal in 28 minutes of court time.

Simon-Claude Toutant, a skier from the Laval Rouge et Or was named RSEQ Male Athlete of the Week.
