Box Score 3 WATERLOO, Ont. – Three different Bishop's Gaiters men's basketball players led them in scoring over the weekend as they played a trio of OUA opponents at the Naismith Classic hosted by the Waterloo Warriors. The Gaiters posted a 2-1 record.
Thursday, Oct. 11 vs. Ottawa
Nervens Demosthene (Terrebonne, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) scored 17 points while
Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.) chipped in with 14, Abdul Kamne had 11 and
Andrew Howarth (Oakville, Ont./Thomas A. Blakelock H.S.) 10 as Bishop's fell 81-77 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Kamane grabbed 10 boards for the double-double.

Friday, Oct. 12 vs. Waterloo
Joany Castor Thadal (Montreal, Que./Champlain Collge St-Lambert) played 40 minutes and scored 23 points as the Gaiters outlasted the Waterloo Warriors 84-79 in overtime. Demosthene tallied 16, Davis and Kamane each had 12 and rookie
Zion Vervroegen-Thomas (Manhattan, NY./College Jean de Brebeuf) rounded out Gaiters in double figures with 11 points.

Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. Laurier
Davis netted 20 to lead Bishop's as the Gaiters topped the Laurier Golden Hawks 81-67 on Saturday afternoon. Vervroegen-Thom, Demosthene and
Jordan Thornhill (Montreal, Que./John Abbott College) all scored 12 points. Kamane hauled in 14 rebounds.

"All in all it was good weekend for us," said Gaiters' head coach
Rod Gilpin. "We are seeing progress and have shown we can learn from previous games. We are finding some balance on offense and definitely building some confidence on defense. This team is fun to watch play and more importantly for me, fun to coach!"
