Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.) led the Gaiters to a thrilling 78-75 win over the UQAM Citadins in front of a boisterous Mitchell Gymnasium crowd last Saturday night.  He scored 19 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, added six assists, two steals and two blocks. Coach's Corner
"We have to focus on McGill first," said Gaiters' head coach Rod Gilpin on how the Gaiters will prep for the two games against different opponents.

"We want to keep doing what we are doing and carry the positives out of Saturday's game.  We are battling a few injuries and are trying to figure out our rotation.  We have to limit bad quarters.  Overall we were good against UQAM but we faltered in the second quarter."

"McGill has talent from the top to the bottom of their roster," added Gilpin. "They are the team to beat in our league."

Veteran guard Alex Paquin led the way for McGill with 20 points in their opener and 13 in game two. Noah Daoust, brother to Gaiters' Josh, led the Redmen with 18 points at Laval.

The Redmen will be shorthanded as Paquin, Daoust, Avery Cadogan and Isaiah Cummins along with assistant coach Aleks Mitrovic will represent Canada at the FISU 3x3 Basketball World University League Finals in China from Nov. 15-18.  Complete story is here.
