MONTREAL – Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) and Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.) led all scorers with 26 points each but it was not enough to propel the Gaiters over Concordia.  The Stingers outlasted Bishop's, winning 105-91 on Saturday afternoon in Montreal.

With the win, Concordia sits in top spot in the RSEQ standings.

Ricardo Monge had 24 points for the Stingers and was 11-11 from the free throw line.  Adrain Armstrong had 22 points in 21 minutes and was 4-7 from beyond the arc. 

Game Flow
Concordia got off to the hot start as they led 22-15 after the first quarter. Bishop's fought their way back into the game, cutting the Stingers lead to three with just over three minutes until halftime. Concordia held the halftime lead at 49-42.  The Stingers got 13 of their 27 points from the charity stripe in the second frame with the Gaiters committing nine fouls.  Concordia opened the second half draining back-to-back threes, they led by 17 at the end of the third.  But Bishop's was not going down without a fight, Davis hit four shots from beyond the arc, for 12 of his 14 points in the quarter.  Kamane had 11 points in the quarter and the Gaiters got within four, with 2:30 left on the clock but the Stingers were lights out from the line and took the contest by a final score of 105-91. 

Concordia shot 84.4% from the charity stripe compared to the Gaiters' 58.1%.

The Gaiters will travel to Quebec City to face the Laval Rouge et Or on Thursday night at 8 p.m.
