MONTREAL –
Ashley Milhomme (Repentigny, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) led all scorers with 22 points but her performance was not enough to propel the Gaiters over the No. 2 Concordia Stingers as they fell 66-53 on Thursday night.
Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) was the only other Gaiter in double figures with 11 points.
Coralie Dumont led the Stingers with a double-double, 18 points and 12 rebounds. Myriam Leclerc had a team high 19 points on the night.
Concordia controlled the game from the start. They led by 28 at the half, outscoring the Gaiters 21-2 in the second quarter. The Gaiters found their grove in the second half, taking back control right out of the locker room. Bishop's outscored the Stingers 42-27 in the second half but it was not enough for a comeback. They fell 66-53 to the Stingers.
