LENNOXVILLE, Que. – After results Thursday night in the RSEQ University men's basketball conference, the Bishop's Gaiters know they are heading to the playoffs for the second straight year. They qualify as the fourth place team and will face the first place Concordia Stingers on Wednesday, Feb. 27 in a semfinal. Before they get there, they must play their 16
th and final regular season game on Saturday at UQAM. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
Where we Stand
Saturday's contest could have meant everything to the Gaiters; instead, it means nothing. After Laval lost to Concordia on Thursday night and UQAM beat McGill, the Gaiters solidified their fourth place spot.

For UQAM there is still a lot on the line. A Citadins win and McGill loss would mean UQAM leapfrogs the Redmen for second place and a home playoff date. Any other outcome means UQAM plays at McGill in the first round of the playoffs.

Year to Date
So far this year the Gaiters have bested the Citadins once and dropped a pair of games to them.
Bishop's opened their campaign winning 78-75 in Mitchell Gym.
Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.) scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory while
Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) chipped in with 17 points and
Jordan Thornhill (Montreal, Que./John Abbott College) 13.
UQAM then swept a home-and-home series in mid-January. It was an 87-86 victory in Montreal followed up by an 85-69 win in Lennoxville. UQAM's Ibrahima Sylla had 26 points in each of those games while Alix Lochard scored 28 and 20.

The UQAM and Bishop's women's teams' tip-off at 4 p.m. on Saturday in a win or go home scenario. The winner moves into the RSEQ post-season while the loser's year ends.
