LENNOXVILLE, Que. – At 3-9 and two games back in the win column, the Bishop's Gaiters men's basketball team has two pivotal games ahead of them this weekend. In 24 hours they tip-off twice with the Laval Rouge et Or who currently sit just ahead of them in the standings at 5-6. Friday night the foes tip off in Quebec City and on Saturday they play in Lennoxville.

Bishop's Beat
The Gaiters have struggled since starting the year 3-0.  They have been close in a number of games including dropping five of their last six games by 10 points or less. They are coming off their bye week. The last time out they fell 66-58 to McGill in Mitchell Gym.
 
Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) is rounding into form. He's averaging 15.6 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game good for fifth and third in the RSEQ.
 
Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.) and Nervens Demosthene (Terrebonne, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) round out the Gaiters in the top-10 in conference scoring with 13.7 and 13.6 points per game respectively placing them in seventh and eighth.  Demosthene is also eighth in rebounding (6.3 per game) and second in assists (4.9 per game).
 
Learn about Laval
Vladimir Thomas is Laval's leading scorer at 14.3 points per game, good for sixth in the RSEQ. Nicolas Begin is ninth with 12.5 points per game.
 
Bishop's and Laval played an overtime thriller on Nov. 17 in Mitchell Gym with the Gaiters coming out on top 93-86.  In Quebec City, it was a Laval 81-69 victory in their second meeting of the year.
