LENNOXVILLE, Que. – For the third straight year the Bishop's Gaiters football team will open the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) season on the road. This year they kickoff in Wolfville, N.S. against the Acadia Axemen.  Gametime is 3 p.m. local, 2 p.m. Eastern.
 
Set the Stage
For the second time in three years, Bishop's opens the football season in Wolfville.  They played their inaugural game in the AUS on Sept. 2, 2017 there.
 
The Gaiters are coming off a 0-8 season after going 1-7 in their first year in the AUS.
 
Acadia last year finished 5-3 then fell to StFX in the AUS semifinal.  They were Loney Bowl Champions in 2017.
 
New Threads

 
The Gaiters will be rocking new uniforms when they step on Raymond Field on Saturday; a new all-white look.  Stay tuned for the full unveiling of the teams' new uniforms prior to their home opener next week.
 
All-time
Acadia is 4-0 against Bishop's since the Gaiters moved to the AUS in 2017.  Prior to that, the Gaiters and Axemen were 2-2 during AUS-RSEQ crossover play.
 
Air Gaiters
Once again, Nolinar is the official aviation partner of the Gaiters. Bishop's players, coaches, staff and friends will board at the Sherbrooke Airport Saturday morning. They land in Halifax and bus to Wolfville.
