LENNOXVILLE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters men's basketball team will have a taste of U SPORTS competition for the first time in 2019-20 this weekend.  They head Sudbury, Ont. for the Laurentian University Pre-Season Tournament.

Friday, Sept. 27 vs. Western at 5 p.m.
 The Mustangs were 16-8 in the OUA West last year and 23-11 overall
 They lost 89-88 to Brock in the first round of the playoffs
 Bishop's is 4-5 all-time against Western
 
Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Waterloo at 5 p.m.
 The Warriors were 3-21 in the OUA West last year and 5-26 overall
 They missed the playoffs
 Bishop's is 4-10 all-time against Waterloo
 
Sunday, Sept. 29 vs. Laurentian at 12 noon
 The Voyageurs were 13-10 in the OUA East last year and 14-19 overall
 They lost 73-72 to the Queen's Gaels in the first round of the playoffs
 Bishop's is 12-14 all-time against Laurentian

The Gaiters played two exhibition games against NCAA DIII teams in August. They beat Western New England 73-71 and topped Trinity College 79-62.
 
A year ago, Bishop's went 7-9 in the RSEQ (11-15 overall).  They lost to the eventual conference champion Concordia Stingers in the RSEQ semifinal to end their season.
