LENNOXVILLE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters open the second half of their season with two games against the Laval Rouge et Or. The Gaiters will host the first game on Thursday night in Mitchell Gym with the opening tip set for 8 p.m. Laval will then host the rematch on Saturday night in Quebec City with opening tip also set for 8 p.m.
 
Bishop's
The Gaiters are back in action for the first time since taking part in the Olga Hrycak Classic at UQAM over the holiday break. Bishop's faced three tough U SPORTS opponents and finished the tournament with a 0-3 record. The tournament started with a 77-73 overtime loss to Ottawa, which was followed by a 72-65 loss to Guelph, and ended with a 102-88 loss to Regina.
 
Bishop's enters the week with a 2-3 record in RSEQ play which puts them in fourth place in the conference standings.
 
Laval
The Rouge et Or enter the week following back to back losses against McGill. The two losses drop Laval to 0-7 in RSEQ play as they sit in fifth place in standings.
 
Last time we met
Back on Nov. 24^th, Bishop's was in Quebec City to take on Laval for the first time this season. The Gaiters prevailed, coming away with a 95-84 victory. Joany Castor-Thadal led the way for the Gaiters with 21 points. Nervens Demosthene (Terrebonne, Que./Cegep de Montmorency), Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College), and Ibrahim Ngom (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) also scored in double figures for the Gaiters. Demosthene and Kamane both put up 15 points, while Ngom scored 11 points off the bench.
 
Meanwhile, Laval was led by Steeve Joseph who scored 21 points off the bench. Sidney Tremblay-Lacombe, Vladimir Thomas, and Tamsyr Dioumassi also finished the night in double figures. Tremblay-Lacombe and Thomas each scored 17, and Dioumassi added 11 points.
