Box Score QUEBEC CITY – After only trailing Laval by five points at the end of the first quarter, the Bishop's men's basketball team dug themselves a hole that they ultimately would not be able to climb out of it. The Gaiters fell of 93-75 to the Rouge et Or on Saturday night.
How it happened
After a back and forth first 10 minutes during which neither team could grab control of the game or momentum, Laval lead by a score of 24-19 after the first. The Rouge et Or then took over. They opened the second quarter on a 14-0 run to jump out to a 19-point lead. The lead was 20 points at the half with Laval leading the Gaiters 53-33. Bishop's would start to chip away at the lead in the third quarter getting it to within 13 points by quarter's end. Laval pulled away in the final frame ultimately winning the game by a final score of 93-75.
The loss drops the Gaiters to 2-5 on season and to fifth place in the RSEQ.
