QUÉBEC, Que. - The Gaiters travelled to Laval for a match-up with the Regina Cougars in the first pre-season game of the 2021-22 season. Michel Hakizimana (Gatineau, Que./) led Bishop's with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals in the Gaiters' 87-66 win over the Cougars. Ibrahim Ngom (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) (16), Carl Jacob (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) (15), Connor Kelly (Brockville, Ont./St. Mary's C.S.S.) (15) and Daniel Levitt (Montreal, Que./) (11) all scored in double figures for the purple and silver. As a team, the Gaiters had 26 points in the paint, 11 points off of turnovers and shot 38.2% from 3-point range.

The Gaiters are next in pre-season action this weekend in the nation's capital for match-ups with the Ottawa Gee-Gees and Carleton Ravens. Tip-offs are set for 5PM versus the University of Ottawa on Saturday and 4PM on Sunday versus the Carleton Ravens.
