OTTAWA, Ont. - The Gaiters ventured to the nation's capital to face two top-tier competitors in the Ottawa Gee-Gees and Carleton Ravens.
In Saturday night's contest, the Gee-Gees controlled the game early in the first quarter and utilized their size to challenge the Gaiters' offensive flow. Despite being down 19 points in the second quarter, the Gaiters fought back and were in a position to tie the gamed late in the third quarter. The Gee-Gees finished the third quarter on a 4-0 run to stay up by 7 points and finished the game ahead by 12 with a final score of 84-72.
Daniel Levitt (Montreal, Que./) had a team high 22 points and was closely followed by
Connor Kelly (Brockville, Ont./St. Mary's C.S.S.) who added another 21 points.
On Sunday, the Gaiters faced the 2x defending U SPORTS National Champion - the Carleton Ravens - but lost the pre-season contest by a score of 103-50.

The Gaiters are next in pre-season action this weekend in Kingston, Ontario for a match-up with the Queen's Gaels. Tip-off is set for 7:30PM on Friday.
