Stingers drop Gaiters in RSEQ action on Thursday night

MONTREAL, Que. - The Gaiters women's basketball team dropped a 71-60 decision to the Concordia Stingers in Thursday night RSEQ action in Montreal.

First-year forward, Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina/), and third-year guard, Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield), led all scorers with 18 and 17 points respectively. Gauna added seven rebounds and two assists while Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) and Jennifer Louis (Montreal, Que./Cegep Edouard-Montpetit) combined for 21 points in the loss. Despite a 20-point fourth quarter for the Gaiters, the Stingers secured the victory. Concordia was led by Caroline Task who totalled 15 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists.

Jennifer Louis (Montreal, Que./Cegep Edouard-Montpetit) had eight rebounds throughout the game, the highest of any Gaiter. The Gaiters pulled in 12 offensive rebounds and scored 14 second chance points in the contest.
