LENNOXVILLE, Que. – A 29-point fourth quarter propelled the Concordia Stingers to a 75-74 win over the Bishop's Gaiters on Thursday night in Mitchell Gym.
 
The loss drops Bishop's to 2-3, while Concordia remains atop the standings at 5-0.
 
How it Happened…
…the rims had lids to start the game as both teams struggled to score, Bishop's led 15-8 after the first quarter
…Both teams started to find their legs in the second as Concordia cut the Bishop's advantage to just 32-28 at the break
…a tight third had each team score 18 and set up a frantic finish
…the fourth was a wild quarter that saw Concordia score 29 points including a perfect 7-7 performance from the charity stripe to comeback and win 75-74
 
For Bishop's…
…Charles Robert (Vaudreuil, Que./Suffield Academy) led the way with 22 points
…Freshman Etienne Gagnon scored 11 and grabbed 11 boards for a double-double
…Rowan Halpenny (Ottawa, Ont./Canada Topflight Academy) rounded out the Gaiters in double figures with 13 points
 
For Concordia…
…Sami Jahan scored 29 points including 11 in the final stanza
…Olivier Koumassou tallied 14 off the bench
 
Next Up…
…the Gaiters (2-3) will enjoy an extended week off as they are next in action on Saturday, Dec. 4 when the travel to Montreal to face McGill (0-4) at 4 p.m.
