A huge second half pushed the Bishop's Gaiters men's basketball team to a big victory over the visiting Concordia Stingers on Saturday night.
Shooting 55% from behind the arc, the Gaiters scored 45 points in the second half to come away with a 71-54 win.
Concordia and Bishop's started the opening quarter exchanging baskets, to make the advantage just one point in favour of the visitors after 10 minutes of play.
Both teams continued to battle in the second and combined for 31 points but it was the Stingers that continued to lead at the halftime break - 36-26.
The Gaiters separated themselves in the third quarter, posting a massive 24 points while holding the Stingers to a single basket to jump out to a 12-point advantage.
The home team controlled the game in the fourth, adding 21 points, outscoring Concordia by five and extending their lead to 17 as they cruised to victory.
Ibrahim Ngom (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) had a big game, posting 19 points,
Connor Kelly (Brockville, Ont./St. Mary's C.S.S.) had 17 and
Anthony Sanogo (Montreal, Que./) added 10 in the win.

The Gaiters will look to secure their first away win of the 2021-22 RSEQ season when the team travels to Quebec City for a match-up with the Laval Rouge et Or on Thursday March 3, 2022. Game time is set for 8PM.
