The Gaiters, fresh off of a 3OT win on Thursday night, returned home to face the Stingers once again on Saturday night. A packed Mitchell Gymnasium set the scene for a near-perfect win for Bishop's, who never looked like they were out of control in this one. The closest the Stingers were was at the end of the first quarter, where they held a 17-14 lead. The Gaiters stuck to the game plan, muscling their way inside and scoring over half of their points in the paint. A 9-point lead at the half did not seem satisfactory, as Bishop's took a commanding 66-45 lead into the final quarter. They put the game on ice in the 4th quarter and, despite a push from the Stingers, walked away with an 86-77 victory.   

How it Happened... 
… Etienne Gagnon (/Cegep de Sherbrooke) was terrific with another double-double in this one, this time good for 19 points and 15 rebounds 
… Charles Robert (Vaudreuil, Que./Suffield Academy) led the Gaiters in the game with 23 points, adding 7 rebounds 
… The rebound battle was key for Bishop's, as they had 52 to Concordia's 40 
… The Gaiters scored 44 of their 86 in the paint, and 20 of their points came by second-chance opportunities
 

Next Up 
The Gaiters are back home next Saturday, Jan. 28th to take on the Laval Rouge et Or. Tip for that game is scheduled for 8pm.
