QUEBEC CITY – The Laval Rouge et Or topped the Bishop's Gaiters 68-65 on Friday night in Quebec City to kick off the second semester in the RSEQ.
 
The loss drops Bishop's to 2-5 while Laval improves to 3-4.
 
Etienne Gagnon (/Cegep de Sherbrooke) had a massive double-double in the losing cause.  He tallied 19 points and grabbed 19 rebounds.  Rowan Halpenny (Ottawa, Ont./Canada Topflight Academy) chipped in with 19 points as well. They were the lone Gaiters in double figures.
 
For Laval Sidney Tremblay Lacombe led all scorers with 24 points while Brandon Massimo chipped in with 18.
 
Next up the Gaiters will play Concordia in a home-and-home series starting in Montreal on Thursday, Jan. 19.  Their first home game of 2023 is Saturday, Jan. 21. Both games are at 8 p.m.
