Fresh off a loss on Thursday night, the Gaiters welcomed the McGill Redbirds to Mitchell Gym with a sour taste in their mouths. The game had potential playoff implications, with McGill tightening the gap between themselves and the Gaiters. Bishop's came out swinging, and held a 19-17 lead after one. The second quarter was an offensive clinic by the Gaiters, who put up 31 on the way to a 50-33 halftime lead. McGill battled back, but Bishop's clung to a 57-51 lead heading into an all-important fourth quarter. The Gaiters found their stride once again, finishing the Redbirds off in style by a sinal score of 83-69.

… Etienne Gagnon (/Cegep de Sherbrooke) also had a double-double, with 11 points and 14 boards
… The Gaiters had a 47-31 advantage on the glass, including 15 offensive rebounds

The Gaiters will face the top-ranked UQAM Citadins in a home-and-home next week, with the first game on Thursday, Feb. 9th in Montreal. That game is set to start at 8pm.
