THE RECORDS: The Gaiters are 1-3 on the year, after last week's come-from-behind 30-29 win over Saint Mary's. The Stingers are 2-2 and are also coming off a close home win over AUS opposition, as they defeated StFX 17-11.

LAST TIME OUT: Zach Graveson's catch with 31 seconds left in the fourth quarter gave the Gaiters a 30-29 win over the Saint Mary's Huskies. Graveson had a pair of touchdown catches, and finished with 10 catches for 168 yards. Quarterback
Jaeden Marwick had the first 300-yard passing game of his career, as he went 24-for-41 for 319 yards. Defensively, Mikael Badra led the Gaiters with five sacks. The Gaiters trailed 20-4 in the second quarter, but took the lead on an 11-play fourth-quarter scoring drive, capped by Graveson's touchdown.
THE SERIES: The Gaiters lead the all-time series 37-33-2. The first meeting between the teams came on Oct. 4, 1975, when the Gaiters upset the highly-favoured Concordians 17-11 in Lennoxville. The Stingers swept both matchups last season, and have won three of the five games between the teams. The Gaiters last win at Concordia was a 44-36 victory on Oct. 19, 2013.
BUILDING A SHRINE: Saturday marks the Gaiters' first appearance in the annual Shrine Bowl since 2010. The game, which is hosted by Concordia annually, raises funds for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal. In their last appearance, the Gaiters picked up a thrilling 18-17 win over the Stingers.
I HAVE BADRA NEWS, AND I HAVE GOOD NEWS: Rookie linebacker set a new school record, and tied the conference mark, on Saturday as he made five sacks in the Gaiters' 30-29 win over Saint Mary's. For his efforts, the Bromont, Que., native was named both the CIS and RSEQ defensive player of the week, as well as the Bishop's male athlete of the week. This is the first time this year that a Gaiter has won player of the week honours. Badra finished with seven tackles on Saturday.
UP NEXT: The Gaiters are off for the Thanksgiving long weekend, as the entire conference has a bye, and return to action on Friday, Oct. 14, as they host the McGill Redmen at Coulter Field.
