QUEBEC CITY – The Bishop's Gaiters Cheerleading team stepped onto the mat for the first time on Sunday, Jan. 28 at the FCQ Regionaux in Quebec City.  The wait was worth it as they nailed their routines to finish in fifth place, the best-ever result in their young history.

"I think the team really pulled together this weekend," said Gaiters' head coach Seve Janelle. "With all the ups and downs this team has been through this season, it really is amazing what they've accomplished."

Bishop's next competition is slated for Saturday, February 17 at the RSEQ Mauricie in Trois-Rivieres, Que.
