Considered by many as the finest athlete Lennoxville ever produced, Gordon possessed more physical courage than any athlete of his era at Bishop’s. He was a stalwart as both lineman on the football team and defenseman on the hockey team.

Upon graduation, Gordon continued to excel in athletics as a member of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association’s football and hockey teams on the ‘30s.
