Golf
Steve was an outstanding golfer at Bishop’s and has also enjoyed a distinguished amateur playing career both nationally and provincially. His accomplishments in golf are impressive but more importantly, Steve is a great ambassador to amateur golf. Steve is first and foremost a gentleman who has always carried himself with a great sense of class.
Steve’s achievements in golf are many highlighted by being Quebec Amateur Champion a record tying four times in 1989, 1991, 1992 and 2002. Steve has been Quebec Match play Champion on three occasions (1988, 1990 and 1993) as well as being chosen Quebec Golfer of the Year in 1987, 1989 and 1991. Steve has participated on the Quebec Willington Cup team on seven different occasions.
Steve was a member of the Canadian Team in 1991 when the team traveled to Australia and in 1998 Steve was the individual Gold Medalist in Rosario, Argentina. In 1998, he was a member of the Canadian World Amateur team. His excellent play in the Canadian amateur championships led to two runner-up finishes in 1991 and 1998.
Steve has been a member of the Royal Montreal Golf Club for twenty years winning the club championship four times.
Professionally, Steve was an Executive in the Recognition business including Balfour, Jostens and Birks for many years. In 2002, Steve became the founder of Erikson Golf- a golf distributing firm.
Steve and his wife Jane reside in Beaconsfield with their two daughters Ashley and Jessica.
