Wall of Distinction
Tom Europe was one of the most physically talented Football Gaiters of all time. Success followed the 1993 Bishop's Gaiters Male Athlete of the Year since his time in Lennoxville.
As a Gaiter he was a standout defensive back on the football team. He earned All-Canadian status in 1992 and still holds the conference record for longest interception return at 111 yards.
After graduating Tom became an 11 year veteran of the Canadian Professional Football League. Tom was a two-time all-star defensive back in the Canadian Football League, playing with the Montreal Alouettes, Winnipeg Blue Bomber and B.C. Lions. His football career included winning the Grey Cup in 1994, and earning a tryout in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints. Tom has also been honoured at the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, B.C. Lions Wall of Fame, and B.C. Football Hall of Fame.
Following his football career, Tommy founded his own company, Tommy Europe Fitness, developing his achievements and lifestyle into the SHRED® philosophy as a training and performance tool.
Tom was recognized by Bishop's University as a 'Top-10 after 10' by in 2011. He graduated in 1993 with a B.A. Major in Social Science.
He lives in Vancouver with his wife Amelie and 2 daughters Makayla and Maddox.
