To choose which sport Ron was more proficient at, football or hockey, is an impossibility; he excelled at both.

Ron was also active on numerous university committees while a student. After graduation Ron played for a number of years with the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL.

Returning to Bishop’s in 1976 he became an invaluable member of the university’s athletic department until 1960.
